雲ひとつない快晴！梅田スカイビルへ
大阪観光の定番スポット、梅田スカイビルに行ってきました。
この日はとにかく天気が良く、空も澄んでいて、
「今日は絶対景色きれいだろうな」と期待しながら向かいました。
実際に着いてみると、青空とビルのコントラストがとてもきれいで、
入る前からテンションが上がります。
15分待ちで入場。狙い目の時間は？
ビルの中に入ると、展望台へ向かう人がすでにたくさんいました。
それなりに混んでいましたが、私の場合は並んでから
15分ほどで入ることができました。
時間帯によってはもっと混みそうなので、
できるだけ早めの時間に行く方が、
並ばずにゆっくり楽しめそうです。
想像以上に急！シースルーエスカレーターの体験
35階から39階をつなぐのは、名物の
ガラス張り「シースルーエスカレーター」。
これが思っていた以上に勾配が急で、
高所がちょっと苦手な人だと、正直かなり怖いと思います。
特に下りのときは、足元がそのまま吸い込まれるような感覚でした。
ただ、怖いだけじゃなくて、
まるで空中を散歩しているような視覚効果もあって、
SF映画の世界に迷い込んだみたいな不思議な感覚になります。
登るにつれて視界がどんどん開けていくのは、ここならではの体験です。
スマホで撮りたくなりますが、
落としたら本当に終わるので（笑）、
まずはしっかり手すりを持つのがおすすめです。
エレベーターも意外とスリルあり
ちなみにエレベーターも、
普通のビルより角度がきつく感じて、
特に下りのときは体が前に引っ張られるような感覚があり、
正直ちょっとだけ恐怖を覚えました。
シースルーエスカレーターとはまた違う種類の怖さで、
「思ったより高いところまで来てるんだな」と実感します。
39階の景色でもう満足？
39階に着くと、周りは一気に開けて、
大阪の街を広く見渡すことができます。
ビル群や道路、遠くの景色まで見えて、
「大阪ってこんなに広かったんだな」と実感できました。
室内なので空調も効いていて、
快適にゆっくり景色を楽しめるのも良いところです。
この時点でも、正直かなり満足できます。
39階 vs 空中庭園展望台｜2,000円払う価値は？
ここで多くの人が迷うのが、
「2,000円払って、さらに上の空中庭園に行く価値ある？」
というところだと思います。
実際に行ってみて感じた違いはこんな感じです。
39階（室内）
- 空調が効いていて快適
- ガラス越しに安定した景色を楽しめる
- ゆっくり眺めたい人向け
空中庭園展望台（屋外）
- 風を直接感じられる圧倒的な臨場感
- 高さを体で実感できる
- ガラスの反射が少なく写真が撮りやすい
屋上は風がかなり強いですが、
その分「本当に高いところに来た」という没入感は別格でした。
写真映えを狙うなら、正直、屋上一択だと思います。
私は登ってみて、
「やっぱり上まで来てよかったな」と素直に思いました。
服装とチケットのちょい注意
屋外の空中庭園は、
地上より風が強く、体感温度も低くなりがちです。
冬や夕方は、1枚羽織れるものがあると安心です。
また、時期によっては
WEB予約で並ばずに入れる場合もあるので、
混雑が心配な人は事前にチェックしておくと楽です。
まとめ：大阪観光で外せない理由
梅田スカイビルは、
- 天気が良い日の景色は本当にきれい
- シースルーエスカレーターはスリルもワクワク感もある
- エレベーターも角度がきつくて意外と怖い
- 39階だけでも満足できる
- 余裕があれば、空中庭園まで行くと体験の質が一段上がる
という感じで、
大阪の街を「上から体感できる」場所でした。
観光で大阪に来たなら、
一度は行っておいて損はないスポットだと思います。
Visiting Umeda Sky Building
I visited Umeda Sky Building, one of Osaka’s most famous sightseeing spots.
The weather that day was perfect—clear skies and great visibility—so I was already expecting a good view before I even went inside.
Just seeing the building against the blue sky was impressive, and it really felt like a special place to visit.

About 15 Minutes of Waiting
There were quite a few people heading for the observatory, but I only waited about 15 minutes to get in.
Depending on the time and day, it can get much more crowded, so going earlier in the day is probably the best choice.
The See-Through Escalator Is Steeper Than It Looks
To go from the 35th floor to the 39th floor, you ride the famous glass “see-through escalator.”
The slope is much steeper than I expected, and honestly, it’s pretty scary if you’re not good with heights.
Going down is especially intense—it feels like the floor is dropping away under your feet.
At the same time, it also feels like walking in the air, almost like a scene from a sci-fi movie.
As you go up, the view slowly opens up, which makes it exciting too.
You’ll probably want to take photos, but definitely hold the handrail—dropping your phone here would be a disaster.
Even the Elevator Feels a Bit Scary
The elevator is not just fast—it also feels like it moves at a sharp angle.
When going down, it felt like my body was being pulled forward, and I honestly felt a little scared.
It really makes you realize how high you are.
The View from the 39th Floor
Once you reach the 39th floor, the view opens up all around you.
You can see Osaka’s buildings, roads, and even faraway areas.
It’s indoors, so it’s comfortable with air-conditioning, and you can enjoy the view slowly.
To be honest, even just this floor already feels very satisfying.
39th Floor vs. Floating Garden Observatory
Is the extra 2,000 yen worth it?
Many people wonder:
“Is it really worth paying another 2,000 yen to go higher?”
Here’s how they felt different to me.
39th Floor (Indoor)
- Comfortable and air-conditioned
- Stable view through glass
- Good for relaxing and taking your time
Floating Garden Observatory (Outdoor)
- Strong wind and open air
- You really feel the height with your whole body
- Less glass reflection, so photos are easier to take
The wind is strong outside, but the sense of being high above the city is much stronger too.
If you care about photos and atmosphere, the rooftop is clearly better.
I’m glad I went all the way up—it really changed the experience.
Clothes and Tickets: Small Tips
Because it’s windy on the rooftop, it feels colder than on the ground.
In winter or in the evening, it’s a good idea to bring an extra jacket.
Also, depending on the season, you may be able to reserve tickets online and skip waiting in line,
so checking in advance can save you time.
Final Thoughts
Umeda Sky Building is a great place if you want to see Osaka from above.
- On a clear day, the view is amazing
- The see-through escalator is both scary and exciting
- Even the elevator feels dramatic
- The 39th floor is already good, but
- Going up to the Floating Garden makes it even better
If you’re visiting Osaka,
I think this is a spot you won’t regret going to.
